Flow Control Group (FCG)  is the leading solutions provider focused on technically oriented products and services for Flow Control and Industrial Automation with 170+ locations throughout North America, 85+ unique brands, and 2,500+ employees.

Challenges

FCG was experiencing a period of rapid, sustained growth, and their strategy was focused on acquiring and integrating six to ten small companies each quarter. Managing the procurement spend of each company was becoming a cumbersome and difficult task to handle on their own and, at the recommendation of their private equity owner, they engaged Procure Analytics for category management of their MRO spend as well as other indirect categories.

Approach

A benchmark of their equipment rental spend showed double-digit savings on their internal piece price spend, which gave FCG the confidence in moving ahead with PA’s GPO programs covering several of their additional indirect spend categories including general industrial, electrical equipment, and small parcel shipping (covered in PA’s packaging GPO program). PA’s implementation team rolled the program out across their locations in the US and Canada.
