This shipper is a worldwide dental company that produces a range of products and systems for dentists and dental technicians.

During the training process, the TransImpact team highlighted key data insights, which included an oversized package costing over $1,480.  Digging into the details, the shipper noted that the sender and receiver were unusual.  Further analysis showed that fraudulent shipping activity had been going on for months on their returns account. 

  • Using Parcel Spend Intelligence through the Sender/Receiver grouping exposed fraudulent shipping activity on their account.
  • Someone was using the shippers’ returns account to ship product and make it appear as a return, but it was not.
  • Within minutes, significant fraud was identified.

The Sender/Receiver grouping allowed the Shipper to identify $38K in fraudulent shipping activity that had been ongoing undetected for months. Alerts were set up to notify the Shipper going forward of any similar suspicious activity.
