Key Challenges

The member’s Global Sourcing team recognized the need for both immediate cost reductions and a more reliable supply partner to support long-term growth.

How PA Helped
Procure Analytics partnered with the member in March 2024 to assess their indirect materials program and identify opportunities for improvement.
- May 2024: PA completed a benchmark analysis of the Monterrey plant’s top 50 items, revealing 20% savings ($160K) on a $790K spend.
- June 2024: Following the sourcing team’s request to replace the underperforming supplier, PA brought in Fastenal to conduct a comprehensive Total Cost of Ownership Analysis (TCOA). The TCOA identified an additional $116K in potential savings, bringing the total to $276K in combined savings between piece price and process efficiencies.
- August 2024: Fastenal and the member executed a Statement of Work (SOW) featuring Fastenal’s flagship Onsite Model, ensuring localized support, inventory management, and continuous improvement.
